I thought it was looking a little tight ;) Iv fitted a standard mini battery box to my mini to house the weber but i don't think ill have enough room. Im hoping to drop the engine in this week but i think i should get the grinder out and extend the depth of my air box. Your car looks to be coming on well, keep it up ;)

It's got 3 wires red black and blue, and it has a plastic cross behind the rotar arm

It's very strange

Sounds like it could have a Luminition Optronic set up fitted, is there a small ally cast box with that brand on it in the car anywhere?

You can just take it out and put points back in, the 'eye' that sees the rotor go past uses the points screw as a fixing, undo it, slide the plastic rotor off the shaft (upwards), then put the correct points and condenser back in :-)

Tomorrow is the start of a good weekend, got rest of the fuel bits turning up so I can get the tanked plumed in and test for leaks
I've also got steering parts turning up as my colour was shot, it had no spines it was just smooth so binned that, I'm also going to try and do the rest of the electrics, maybe see how I feel

But the car won't be started till I sort this silly dizzy out, I think I'm gonna go back to points, just need to check the dizzy so I do t order the wrong parts

I'll also get some proper pictures.

So big update this weekend :)
We'll I'll be working on it as soon as I finish this boring course I'm on and can get back to Cornwall

We'll I've got the fuel lines all plumed in although photo bucket won't load anyone else have an issue with it?

I've been looking at my loom and I'm a little confused on what to do, I'm using mostly mk1 switches and indicator and bits and bobs like center speedo, so instead of butchering a good loom I'm ink it might just be easier to buy a mk1 loom that will just slide I and let everything conect up straight away, saves and gremlins I might get when doing it all as we'll

What's people's ides on doing this?

It's all coming together now, I was wondering about the spare wheel and where that gets mounted?
