Whether you like them or not they are future classics.... and the clever collectors with an eye for a future investment will already have those early models in their collection

Getting a bit sick of this kind of thread lately, there seems to be one or two a week -_-

Better get some work done

Do you seriously think this ugly squashed "lifestyle" car will be a future classic? It's a fad that will be forgotten about in a few years time.

The normal BMW Mini I could quite easily see being a future classic, just look at the residual values.

Just to confirm, I started this thread purely too see what people thought of the car. Not as an excuse for "BINI bashing".

Just to confirm......READ WHAT I PUT!!

My choice would be an early JCW :proud:

Sorry thought you meant the Countryman/Paceman would be a future classic!

They're taking orders for the new one :shifty:

Don't tempt me....! :P

Drove an R56 JCW a while ago, and as lovely as it was, and the interior was a lovely place too be, for me you just can't beat the power delivery and the whine of the earlier supercharged R53s! Saying that, the new ones do use about half the fuel! :D

Nope, you can't. My mum's got a cooper, and tried to go past one, I told her not to as she'd just get embarassed (which she did) but that whine is addictive

Yeah when I finish Uni I hope to get a JCW as a daily, and if I have enough cash I will be restoring mini, and having a matching pair, that would be ace, same colour, same styling cues, Just because!

Love the new Paceman. Can't stand the countryman though, too much of a school run car.

Got to be the nicest looking new model for a while. Don't like the backwards baseball cap coupe thing they've brought out.

Very Evoque, which I also really like.

Go be a member on a MINI forum and tell them you think their cars are crap or look ugly or whatever. I don't think many of us care if you like/dislike them. I never used to like them much, but I like them now, even the paceman. You know how these threads go and to be honest it's boring now. We don't care!

Me too, and was my original plan, but then a bargain R53 came up at a really good price and I couldn't resist it! :P

It really is, and if it wasn't for that and the 240 odd BHP that mines now running, I would of been fed up of 25mpg a long while ago!!! :D
