Thankfully now , the Bini has lost all connections with the mini

different size , different look - the first Bini's looked a bit like the mini - not the paceman

a bit like a size 40 mini skirt - it don't work

The mini used to be cheeky - that's just chunky & grumpy

the Countryman is made in Graz, Austria.

Not changing a design for 40 years is lazy.

Why change something that was perfect!

There was no need to change it...

That's true... I agree but probably not with the way you meant it.

People did not value trendiness as much as they do now. MINI has to put out new models every year just to keep interest and loyalty going. Companies make more money leasing cars as they do selling cars out right. So it's better for them to come out with something new for people to switch leases with. BMW makes most of their money from leasing because most people who drive their cars could not afford to buy them.

The chinese copy actually doesn't look all bad.

Would you guys consider this to be a better car since it's not called a mini?

What really gets me is the fact that John Cooper's name appears on at least one variation of every bini model.

The name Cooper used to mean something when you saw it on a mini.

How in God's name can that be a Cooper S?

Why they keep releasing weird designs instead of producing the rocketman?
Now lets walk away from motor heritage for a moment, a car called 'Mini' should be little and not as big as a renault megane or a cherokee, thats just logic..
