Lovely looking mini that mate!
Having just bought my 1st ever mini today this project tread will be a great help to me as it's very similar to the direction I want to go down.
It's given me confidence that I can get it done :)

looks brilliant with the mk1 look ... i did the same makes such a difference! and id say keep the spots how they are with the tap on aswell...
i think your next job is mk2 rear lights and a austin cooper s badge on the bonnet :)! in my opinion anyway

cheers =] I've got some trim to go behind the arch and some that will fit on the arch lip but will prob have it fitted when its being sprayed as i thought i was going to snap my arches attempting it myself :shy: haha. are mk2 lights mostly all red so to speak ?? that's quite a good idea as i thought mk1 rear lights would be a step to far :D . Many thanks

Yeah they are a bit smaller than the mk3/4 lights which I always thought were too large... There easy to fit and very simple wiring!!!
Also try dipping the trim in warm water it makes it so much easier to mould.
And in my opinion I would leave the seats out but mock up how they will fit before the respray... No matter what you do paint will get in nucks and crannies haha

Cheers will add them to the list >_<. ended up using a air dryer to fit the rubber trim when on a treat =] .

just being doing bits and bobs on the mini.went to and induction to Sprinting event at Curdbrough on Sunday got to go round with a instructor to learn the track which was epic :D :D was about 4 other minis their to :gimme: .was also very surprised at my cars ability flew round alot better than i thought and even managed to get the back end out a bit on the last corner :shades: haha . i'm also going Tomorrow for the normal 3-4 Run's so very excited :w00t: .

In other news I've been trying to get the mini ready for respray been having issues with the seals on the front wings as rust keeps on appearing through the paint :mmkay: so have attacked it with sandpaper and Rust treatment, might do it a gain for good measure before i book it in. also put my Wipic Head lights in. would highly recommend easy to fit and making things a lot more visible :goaway:
