Congratulations! couldn't recommend a better project car to start withLovely looking mini that mate!
Having just bought my 1st ever mini today this project tread will be a great help to me as it's very similar to the direction I want to go down.
It's given me confidence that I can get it done :)

looks brilliant with the mk1 look ... i did the same makes such a difference! and id say keep the spots how they are with the tap on aswell...
i think your next job is mk2 rear lights and a austin cooper s badge on the bonnet :)! in my opinion anyway
oh and i'd get some arch to body trim aswell as arch to sill trim to finish that aspect off

Cheers will add them to the listYeah they are a bit smaller than the mk3/4 lights which I always thought were too large... There easy to fit and very simple wiring!!!
Also try dipping the trim in warm water it makes it so much easier to mould.
And in my opinion I would leave the seats out but mock up how they will fit before the respray... No matter what you do paint will get in nucks and crannies haha
