Wheel cleaned up and fitted managed to fit it to the sports boss i had. it sticks out and is a long reach to the indicators but looks the part . is alot more comfortable to move also can see the dials through the squares if turning  , next fitted black arch trim on the lip.

Today i brought some blue LED bulbs for my dials (yes i copied loads off people!) just want actually see my dials and have a bit of a glow from them. may of regretted blue as my whole inside of my car is blue! but will have to see what they look like once fitted  =].

Being thinking off selling my S2000 seats and going for some simple Cobra classic seats. be good to have the rear seats back and make my mini lighter!, plus i wont have to sit bolt upright all the time :teehee:  (yeah i doubt i have great posture). want to make my mini a bit more retro and classy...

been having really bad luck this week managed to get a puncher and needed a new Tyre fitted been to 6 different tyre fitters and none off them can fit them to my 6x12 superlights, tyres are 165/60/12 even had to go in and tell them to fit them bottom side first but no luck  :(  :( ! minis currently a 3 wheeler!!

In more positive news i got a David Vizard Book. Going to try and tune my 998 engine a bit. ran fine last year used to cruise at 80 okay but now after my modifications and driving time my mini doesn't rev very high or smoothly and the cruising speed is fairly awful. also be a good starting point as i have never done any engine/ performance modifications before :shy:.

Could my mini having heavy and wide Superlite wheels be affecting my my little 998CC engines Cruising speed and over all acceleration??

i also have a Maniflow 3/4 inch Center exhaust could this be effecting performance also ??

going to give the min a good service first off all and do alot off reading!  :geek:.

thanks Tom.

Hi
Did you have to file the bulb holders or dash at all to fit bulbs? I got some white ones but they won't fit into hole. Very slightly too big
Car looks great by the way

Hi Steve

no surprisingly! mines a 1990 Mayfair and the bulbs just fitted with now issues. but heard if you have earlier clocks you might have to trim them a bit to fit, the light out put is alot better than standard bulbs tho so well worth trimming them.

thanks man! appreciated :D

Cheers. Mine is a 85 model so maybe that's correct. Had a look at bulbs and not sure where the best place is to trim. Will have another look
Thanks

Austin grill fitted after a lot off flapping over screw sizes along with mk1 indicators. took most of the day rewiring the indicators and getting the grill to fit but happy with how it looks :D  :D , Think i want some older style mirrors any suggestions?

tweaked the carburetor and gave the air filter a good clean and oil. will run it for a bit and see if  i can come up with any improvements

Wow been a while since I've posted!

Mostly been selling my old mini parts to make some space bit managed to fit some new seats and did some polishing for the first time! was quite happy with the results. though quite hard to see drying polish on a white car ha ha.

In other news i can't make my mind up might do the 7.5 Brake conversion and get some 10/6 or possibly get my 12/6 wheels powder coated and sprayed  this color? as not sure it will suit my arches :/ ?

I came to my senses and finally got some 10!

Well happy many thanks To Dog / Simon for organizing collection and Selling me them! :D

They are 10x6 Weller's which i'm over the moon getting a set of 5.

So far i have rubbed 3 of them down to bear metal and Etch primed them With Upol Acid 8 (Expensive but makes thick coats< Drys quick l and lasts) will hopefully be painting them the same color as the above post so a anthracite / gray color.

i want to try paint them myself so if any one has a good paint code which is something similar the that grey color^^ be much appreciated!????

Ended up going for ford Graphite gray was very close the the shade i was after. (pictures make it look a lot darker than it is) fitted the conversion kit with no problems but after two days failing miserably i took it to a garage to bet the brakes bleeded as it didn't want to work for me. all sorted now and stops great! very happy with the Rear but the front end needs to come down a few inch's in order to match the backs height!

Debating on fitting the Weller hub cap stickers or not?

Feels a bit more comfortable on 10's. plus a lot lighter than my 12's :)

Next on the to do list.

  • Sort out wiring issues
  • Patch oil leek ( Fed up of having a black patchy drive way!)
  • repair or replace front valance/ nose pannel.
  • engine tune up!

Thanks
