Ah I thought the corsa Vxr was a big block also and have to agree with the x16xe had one my self and was nippy in a corsa she'll never mind a mini lol if I was to go down that route it would be that engine

i would to. or even c20let just a lot dearer and these engines are excellent the tuning you can do to them and would be alot easier to fit to. i am doing one in the new year ive got the shell and engine parts. just thinking engine in the front or in the rear? would be nice to see the vxr engine fitted tho.I'm going c20xe

C20let is a big block.
It is difficult enough to fit a c20xe in a mini so by adding a turbo charger it is just going to make things harder.
As for fitting a z20leh (VXR engine) or z20let you will have problems with inlet fitting. If you modify it to fit you won't necessarily get the power that they do in an astra, corsa, etc.

What about the fact the gearboxes are made of cheese?
My thoughts exactly. Same with the Astras too
The clutches have a habit of slipping too
Though a mini is obviously a lot lighter than the corsa & with that power I'm guessing that would be very fun to drive indeed ;)
