some handles to move it if the glass is going to be fixed, you dont want to be lifting the engine by the edges of the glass >_<

I think I may uses some clear acrylic rod to peg the glass using the head stud holes. This will stop horizontall movement but allow the glass to be removed vertically.

Thanks for the suggestions

Hence the reason why she is an ex-wife now?

Had a sleepless night on this one (not really) how about a head gasket made from non slip rubber or cork will work as a spacer/grip/and allow top to be removed also spreads load evenly on glass? also if fitting dizzy body to block why not put a clock in it ? Drill holes in top of oil filter case could be used as ash tray (removable filter for ash) or pen holder for the non smokers , a starter motor with back plate and guts removed could be used for storage for a tv remote or a magazine holder......and so on ;D

Thanks, the head gasket idea is brilliant :) My Dad is a Fibrous Plasterer so he can get all the correct rubber required to make a mould. Hopefully he can get some on Monday, unfortunatley I have just thrown away 2 used 998 head gaskets that would have been perfect for the mould.

Im not sure on how far I may go with the bolt on parts though. I do have a couple of spare coils that could be gutted or disected for detail.

Thanks for the great ideas.
