Hi,

I am looking at buying a mini cooper sport 500, however it does not have the original certificate, only the plaque in the glove box. Does anyone know if it is possible to get a copy of the original certificate? Could someone maybe send me a copy so I at least know what they are supposed to look like?

Many thanks for your time in advance! :D

The Rover Mini Cooper Sport 500 Register might be able to help if someone on here doesn't have the answer - http://500.247id.net/

The Facebook group seems a lot more active than the register web site if you've got questions, I just drive mine and throw money at it, but others seem a lot more informed!!

Thanks to you all for getting back to me! No it doesnt come with the goody pack either. And it has a bit of rust so I think the guy is asking for too much money when you compare it to others with no rust, that have the certificate and have the goody pack! I will keep looking! I'll get one eventually! I just want one with all the original bits and mileage below 80,000! Hopefully one will come up soon!

Bethany, get yourself on https://www.facebook.com/groups/170116723041942/members/#!/groups/170116723041942/ 500's crop up occasionally and there's a wealth of knowledge on there.

You can't get copies of the original certificates and are you sure it's a genuine 500 you were looking at?

Drop me an email on [email protected] and if you know the reg number and ideally chassis number I shall be able to confirm if it is a 500. Many seem to have lost their certificates and goodie bags these days, which arguably makes them less desirable than ones still with them, but its not the end of the world. We have many 500 owners gradually picking up bits from Ebay and the like putting back together the goodie bags. The certificates are not replaceable, but if you join us over on the 500 register website or facebook group we can help you some more. I am only aware of one non-500 with a plaque, so slim chance that its a fake dressed up as a 500, but need the chassis number and numberplate ideally to confirm. Cheers, Andy
