Wind Deflectors? How Do They Fit?!

How do wind deflectors fit? Do they fit in the rubber or bewteen the door & the rubber?

Fitted in minutes? Ha! Myself and my dad have been struggling for 20 odd minutes. I'd though they went Inbewteen door and door rubber?

I just bought some at minifest, they're a right pain. Think I'm going to have to cut the outer edge of the seal >_<

Ah I'm not the only one then. They are such a nightmare to fit. We're going to take out the whole door rubbers and fit them in after it lol. That's the only way they are going to fit :/

Ah I'm not the only one then. They are such a nightmare to fit. We're going to take out the whole door rubbers and fit them in after it lol. That's the only way they are going to fit :/


I tried that last night, but it didn't work for me as the seal has been pushed in at some point in the past. It may work for you though :thumbsup:

Mine were fitted in the same gap in the seal that the window glass does.

ye i fitted mine in 5 mins each side! :proud: put them where the window normally goes! now the windows do go all the way up :ohno: haha but its all to let a bit of fresh air in now and then right?? :lol:

That didnt work for me, we couldnt get the window up as it got caught against the wind deflector.
& Even then we had to get the sticky tap to stick, and that would have been even worse lol O_O

Ive been thinking about some, would be interesting to know how people get on with them :thumbsup:

Dont know about Minis, but on my cousins St Focus they are just a push fit.
It's lucky Minis don't have remote central locking, whist he was fitting his inside the car, pushing the seal triggered the panic alarm, setting the deadlocks off in the doors, raising the windows, and disabling the whole car, only problem was he was still sat in it..... :lol:
