Above the 'e' on google.

its there pretty much all the time, but at first i thought it was a star of the default apple background :S

any help would be great to help what the issue is, before it goes back to the shop. it should be perfect, if not better for the price!

thanks alot, Mike

Use the special cloth that comes with it (little black thing in the packet) and make sure the screen is really clean. laptop screens are polarised so if you have something on the screen it can refract the light making bits look brighter. I get it sometimes where I've left finger prints on mine.

Failing that take it back and ask apple. Their customer service is really good if you need repairs.

I've just noticed on mine that you can still see the stars from the default back ground when you have safari open.

Could be something behind pressing against the LCD screen causing a white spot. It's a common issue. I would get it looked at.
