You know the gizmo you attach to you Ipod, phone etc and then tune the radio into the fm signal.

I had an ebay special a couple of years ago, that was basically unusable.

Maybe they have gotten better or maybe i need to spend a bit more?!?!

Any recommendations?

They're all awful, don't bother.

We had a Belkin FM transmitter and it worked good. Good reception with no interference. It was one for the iPod which plugged into the bottom rather than the 3.5mm headphone jack point.

How was yours unusable? Interference?

If i am honest i was asking a lot for something which cost a tenner including delivery form Hong kong. But it just wouldn't "tune in" too weak of a signal i reckon.

Your better getting an FM modulator, just fitted one for my Iphone and it works brilliantly. it plugs into the aerial input and forces a signal to the stereo on an unused frequency. It also chrages the phone aswell. Got it off ebay for £30... No interference at all

I use one in my car, it's pretty good. I have to change the signal sometimes depending on where I'm driving, but I live near France so we get a lot of FM interference from their crazy talkin' radio stations.

Haven't used one for an iPhone but tried it for my satellite radio in my regular driver a few years ago. Lots of interference and kept having to find open frequencies when traveling.

I have ordered a fairly good Belkin one! Will wait and see how it is!

I use one in my daily (Polo) and used it in the Mini. Was great! Yes it had interference but with the car on the move and the exhausts going you only heard the music  If you feel you are getting interference turn the volume on the iPhone/iPod up to full as this helps boost the signal. Or it does on my Belkin tune base anyway :)
