Hi I just collected my new car the seats are a tan leather, they are very very dirty and to be honest I think the previous owner has never cleaned them in the 9 yrs he owned it. He also had a dog that he used to just let jump all over the seat.

So what's the best stuff to use? I have tried the leather wipes they didn't touch it. What do you use?

We have the same problem with dads cream leather in a mercedes. Try autoglym leather cleaner, and then conditioner. :)

PS. we also used it on a leather steering wheel on a corsa we were selling that was covered in grime and paint and it made it look brand new. We we're going to replace the wheel :D

autoglym leather cleaner is not very good, the reason that it is such a weak formula is because autoglym didn't want the average "have a go" motorist going into halfords and buy a strong leather cleaner only to go home and strip all of the colour out of their nice leather seats.

i would use some autoglym interior cleaner (watered down at 1.8:1) spray it onto the seats with a hand sprayer and then wipe it over with a clean microfibre cloth then dry it with a good quality leather, then use a leather feed afterwards.

BUT always test for colour fastness first on a part of the seat that you cant see just to make sure the solution is not too strong.

the autoglym interior cleaner will sort those out easily.........when you use the microfibre cloth keep it in a bucket of clean cold water and rinse it out every now and again, if you use a white (or clear) bucket you will see how much crud you are actually pulling out of the seats as well....... ;D

also if there are any stubborn marks the use a very soft brush to agitate the area before using the microfibre.
