I really like your mini, the arches are gorgeous. What kind are they? Also how has the seating position changed from standard when you fitted the bucket seats? Is it much lower? I'm 6'4" and have a sprite, I love the look of the classic seats and it would be a bonus if they gave more room between the steering wheel and the seat.

Cheers

hi
arches are somerford mini group 2 style , the seat us the same brackets, but do sit lower, so you should gain a bit more room

They do look a bit lower, I love the classic style. Hopefully get a pair for my sprite once it's up and running

thanks for the linky steve.

Everyone has skimmed over the fact that you fitted rear light conversion plates! Did you re-spray the whole thing afterwards?

I hope you won't mind a few questions:

1) Did you do the brake conversion yourself? If so, how difficult is it to change the hubs?

2) Are the wheels original? I have seen some 'alloy repro' ones online (minisport?) but am a bit dubious about the look.

3) You mentioned Mk1 dash conversion, does someone make the loom conversion, or is it a case of bodging? (I did it the other way round on my Van!)

4) Where is the roof from? The webasto one from minispares seems a little too expensive at £1000. How does it tidy up the headlining?

5) Is the bootboard just cut from a template? What is it and what is it held on with? (Screws/rivets?)
