right just had a very long phone call with my mate who has got the mini and I have got to get back to him if I want it or not in a few day as he's going away in summer traveling and needs the money asap as he wants to stop paying for the garage it is in. he has said I could pay him in instalments which is a good thing I guess???, as the plan was to do up the black mini I bought and sell it with an mot and looking nice and that would then allow me to buy it off him. so been chatting to him about price and what not and he has come down to what he first told luke so I guess that's is a good thing. so the next few days im going to be thinking hard on what to do....
just thought I will up date you all.
if any one has any mags or information on it can you take photos and upload them please as would want as much info as possible to help make a decision so soon please
thanks everyone

I've found your mag mate;)
Il find the other two (3 series run) and get some pics up!
The three are April, may and June of 1974. It all looks very similar to the mag pics! Apart from the rear end fuel filler and missing battery cut off not there now.
hi artful dodger can you up load pics of the mags for me please as trying to get a bit more history on it
regards

I remember buying and reading that copy of Triple C when it came out with a Marina on the cover .....I still have most of the 60's and 70's copies of the mag with Mini articles stored in my loft.

Well i have been busy whilst the dirty deeds have been done. jordan asked me to go round and have a look at the car to see if some of the things mentioned in the mags artful dodger posted was still there. although i have always been confident in the cars identity considering pickuptruck1994 (jordan) is shelling out the money i cant blame him for be cautious.
so....
the six holes are clears shown where freds custom instrument panel once was
original seat mounting holes can been seen stupied box section was added in later best place for it is the skip
hole for what was the battery cut off, this has been blanked off in latter years but nice bit of engineering using a old bake bean can :)
the old cut off from inside the car
The original Tartan red paintwork making it one step closer to a heritage certificate
and whos ready for the money shot ................
found this underneath whats left of the rear seat
so here we are this is 100% Triple CCC's car. After visiting Alex kingsman he has a very early 850 unit that i have secured for the car and his wife hopefully will be putting a small article in mini magazine about the car.
Right Jordan ows me a pint, so off to the pub, updates will follow soon when we move the car to the workshop
cheers!
Luke
