Braced up the door gap so the rest of the rotten inner sill, floor, crossmember and heel board corner could be cut off. Used a nice bit of angle iron bit overkill but oh well!
this is the only pic i have atm!

that's my mate James helping rip the rotten half glued in front floor pan out !
i will take some better pictures tomorrow evening and crack on with more cutting!
Also i need the small box closing planel? that goes between the hell board and wheel arch? anyone have a clue what this is called?
Is this it ? http://www.somerford...roducts_id=1289
Update tomorrow!

My mate came over the other day and we got to work fitting the heelboard repair panel and the load floor strengthener. Put the rear subframe back on to make sure this panel was in line before welding it on.

Camera ran out of battery after this pic.
Today i have been getting the floor pan ready for fitting and marking out were holes need to been drilled for plug welds. hopefully i can get this welded in on sunday as i have the day off work. then i will start on the doorstep and bottom of the rear quarter. Im not sure what im going to do about the inner a panel still as the thought of it is scaring me as i dont want the door to be out of alignment :s
Cheers!

If you can, look into getting something to strengthen the backend.
Roll cage, strut brace,... Anything, otherwise every lump, speed bump will make the rear doors creak. Due to the body twisting.

Hey there, I saw you were inquiring about what to attach the a panel to, you might want to pick up an additional panel from m-machine, it's not at all expensive. They are making new mk1 style inner flitch repair panels, I have yet to pick up any, but will end up buying 3 sets myself.

This is a life saver!

Maybe that's why?
But when I used to hammer it round corners with some nice camber, the doors used to creek from the shell twisting.
But then, I'm talking of race speeds, as that's what I built it for.

Strenthener?

Interesting info that as its not something I've heard of or read before thanks.
I'm planning on making up a strut type brace that will go from the rear suspension mounts on the wheel arch but then this is mainly so I can put loops on it for the harness's to mount. But it should also act to strengthen the rear end somewhat.
