hi guys i have finally got a mini van project
I bought the van from a member on here and apparently it used to belong to another member (Dog??)
it was called flubber? dont have a clue why ! project thread. Its gone a long way down hill since then! http://www.turbomini...p=vt&tid=214293

Anyway i will be totally rebuilding the van to the 'as good on the bottom as on top' style so i will be taking my time and spending lots of money! XD
Here it is when we got back from collecting it



So tonight i began stripping off the remaining parts on the van. Front subframe totally off and rear is all loosened but need help lifting the body off!





I will get that rear subby off tomorrow and get it rolled over so i can strip off the underside and see whats hiding!

Yeah there it is! gone downhill since then ! but i will fix it!

Well the plans are to make it completely solid and go for a look similar to this

But with a nice set of 10x7 split rims and not so low!

Right so today i have been given a hand and removed the rear subframe and totally stripped it ready for sand blasting! pics to come later! Both subframes will be painted Red! :) Im going to get these done first and hide them away untill the shell is ready to go into a rolling state.

Also full front end will need replacing but im not sure weather to replace the grill or have a chrome one :/

Flipping hell, 5 years!!!? I haven't finished paying for the work I did on it yet lol.

Basically, I sold it to a chap in south Wales, who left it in the rain in the garden for 2-3 years, he then realised he couldnt just put an engine in and go - too much work for him? I could get the engine out in under and hour!!

Anyways, he then sold it to a chap in Bristol, few months later I see it on eBay for £1500.

Then shifty links me to this page on my Facebook.

haha yeah got it from bristol! and dont worry it will live again! and yes the MOMO steering wheel was with it! and guess whats happened to it! My brother stole it while i was at work and put it in his mini after cleaning it up it looked brand new!

Shame. I'd love to of put that wheel in my dub.

Update !
Some panels arrived today from somerford minis!

Full floor driverside with sill attached, heel board end, rear quarter and doorstep panel and inner a panel that side !
Little confused on were this needs to be welded to as i have never worked on a external hinge mini before HELP!
Still need half crossmember panel and the bit behind the rear quarter that goes up to the load floor dunno what its called?
Then we rolled it onto its side!


Let the cutting begin!

Didnt get anything done to the van today but i just cant get my head around how to fit the inner a panel anyone got some pics of fitting one? Cheers Ryan
