Looking good Paddy! Hopefully theres not too many nastys hidden when we start on it!
I'm quite interested in seeing the welding work that was recently done being uncovered!!
Hope not Dan! But I'm sure there'll be a few after that pikey had his hands on it!!
Me too Shifty, or more to the point, making sure it's corrected!
Ah well, just a few more months of (apparent) roadworthiness and then it's go go go :)

Will certainly be an experience working properly on it, instead of just little oddball jobs that crop up. I can't wait to get to rebuild the engine, it's solid as a rock but could be even better after a re-build. Don't think there's any signs of previous engine work according to all the receipts I've got, so at 117k miles to date it's about time the engine was pampered a bit! I think rear wheel arches will need replacing as they've been repaired before, inner wings as we've seen have cracked etc. but nothing really major, maybe one of the more 'major bits' is the drivers a-pillar needs repair or replacement.

Removed the glass, sunroof, dashboard, carpets, unbolted the seats for removal when the van's sorted, and poked a hole through what was supposed to be a 'new sill' fitted by 'Mini Specialist Darlington' - a full report will be done on him once all of his work has been investigated, and trading standards may or may not be involved. I'll let the pics do the talking for now.
Showing all bits removed
Aforementioned hole in sill.

Days 5&6 (no work done on 3 or 4).
Started stripping the engine bay for engine removal. There’s more off than this now but this was day 4. Also got all the other parts back to my house so a lot of time was lost in transporting and sorting them. Engine removal to be completed tomorrow and Dan is gonna be around on tuesday so we can start cutting (I think). The engine is coming out for me to work on while Dan isn't around to help me with welding.
All the parts we moved, pic shows them sorted and at mine, filling my dad's garage back up!
