Hi to any and all Mini owners in NZ (or anyone who has the knowledge or connections to help),
I'm trying to track down a good condition 12g940 (or similar) cylinder head to put onto my 998 block to unlock a little more out of my little beauty. I'm not having great luck so far. Does anyone know where one is or where I could find/look for one? Or who I can contact to get one at a decent price?
Any help would be great,
Thanks

Cool, thanks. I have my eye on that one, and was looking at the worked one but it was from an mpi engine and i didn't know how much extra hassle that might be.
Will keep looking, and hopefully someone might have some more info as well.
Thanks for the input :)

How did you get on?? Did you find a head in the end?

Sorry guys, didn't see these replies.
I did manage to track down a cylinder head in pretty good nick, though it cost me a bit more than I was hoping.
I am about to start assembly of the recon'd motor and 'box. I am hoping to take enough pictures and learn enough as I go along to make a build thread worthwhile.
I am now debating tracking down a second head for the motor coming out of my mini. It's far too good to waste. Or what would be even better, I would really love to pick up a cheap 1275 to rebuild. They seem to be even harder to find for a decent price! There are a few around but some guys are asking the world for engines that need complete overhauls including machining.
Oh well, I will keep my ear to the ground and see what pops up.
