Best Hif44 Manifold

Have had no end of issues with my DCOE 40 Weber, It drives well but has the annoying flat spot and major issues with port stealing and poor running on 2 cylinders idling, (we have tried everything) recently we tried a set of 1 /14 Inch Twin SU's on it and it idled like a dream, but did lack power at the top end.
Rather than trying to find a set of Twin 1.5 SU's Ive instead got myself a HIF44 to replace the DCOE with.. the DCOE is a great carb, but really is not suitable for a daily driver.
I have heard with a good Manifold the HIF44 can perform as well as a DCOE45.. my question is, what is the best manifold to use?
The Engine is
1330cc
RE13 Cam (Kent 276 Variant)
Flowed Head
Ill hopefully be running it with a slightly modified BDL Needle.
Looking to order myself a Manifold in the next few days.

But....if i wasn't planning to swap to twin 1" 1/2's i'd get myself a Minispares inlet manifold as they are very well made and offer better clearence for the two inner brass manifold nuts and washers. The MG manifold is a pain in the rear as you can't see those two nuts....but only an issue the first time you put it on i suppose...unless you like taking manifolds off.
I had a Minispares manifold many years ago on my first mini and they fit properly and are well priced.....unless they've changed manufacturer of course?????
I'm sure there will be others offered up for consideration though......

BDL sounds too lean for your spec, you might want a richer top end, so get it rolling roaded asap.

Thanks we fitted a Lambda sensor in the LCB collector, so we can run a meter on it until its right, Who needs a rolling road when you have a real one :) If it needs to be richer I believe you can thin out your needle with an electric drill and a bit of wet & dry :) the other needle the carb has is a BBC, but I think that is leaner still

I had been told that the mg metro instake was the best to have! I stupidly threw mine away when I did the whole "stage 1" thing. I haven't been able to find of for love no money! IF you got a mg metro intake keep it, or i'll have it!
Loads on ebay. and they are usually cheap

They are a slide carb with accelerator pump and easily out flow the HIF, very tuneable too.
