Hi,

If anyones interested these guys can supply oversize cylinder liners for 1380cc A series engines.
This means that a 1380cc block is no longer scrap if it needs reconditioning.
Liner part number is WCL 13A
Might be of interest to some of you?
Found it on the AR online website!

you need to bore out from 1380 to fit these so you can loose the offset, or install them ofset and rebore offset to the offset to get rid of the offset.

word of the day... offset.

You need a very thick wall liner just slightly larger than the 1380 bore. You can't have a top flange as the cylinders are too close together due to the offset bore.
Then you bore again back to original cylinder centres to retrieve the 1275 cc capacity.
However, it's expensive to do this properly and it's best not to go to 1380 in the first place really if it can be avoided.
