Gave silver soldering a go and made some oil return flanges
Made the line up and fitted. I has to put a jubilee clip half way to stop it bending as it's a tight radius
Fitted all my water lines
Recovered my dash abd fitted my interior back in with new seatbelts all round
Also finished the door and painted and built it up
Along with my wheels and arches
Then today after painting I thought I would give it a first start so filled it with oil connected the battery and pulled the injector plug to crank for oil pressure and curse my life this happened
https://youtu.be/X9G-Jao7wRg
So yeah that's that ****ed crank seal or oil pump plus when I pulled the sump plug mayo came out which is great so the zr is getting the chop and becoming parts donor
This is now my garage and I want to give up

And out it came
The next step was to rip apart my daily zr turbo for the engine
This gave me the chance to fit my PTP lightweight flywheel and a new clutch kit
Then in the mini
All fitted back up with the front end back on
And all done ready for work 28ish hours later after I started
New headlights too
Made it to work the next day never made it home
I plumbed my turbo water feeds I'm wrong but all fixed now

So had the manifold skimmed and works a treat
Then fitted a new genuine mac boost solenoid
Then took the car for a blast to see if that was the boosting problems sorted and it has very smooth delivery and faster than I need it to be. Then my car was so happy to be running good it did a little sex wee
My new tyres also turned up getting them fitted Monday

Car is looking great! Love the colour combo!
I would be weary of those Nankangs, I've only ever heard bad things about them. For future reference, Maxxis make a set of 175/50/r13 tyres that are apparently very good, and much cheaper than Yokos. Shame that there is such little choice for tyres this size...

So far apart from yokohama 048 these are the best tyres I have had they are sticky as he'll. You may be talking about general nankang tyres and I agree they are budget. But the ns2r is a track spec semi slick tyre used by teams in the mx5 cup series to name just one. As a comparison to top spec 888,s or yoko 048 they are just as good dry grip when warm better wet grip and give less road noise. I am yet to try them on track but as a road tyre with a full tread depth I am very impressed

Not as good as r888 in the wet though.
On par in the dry :)

Nankang are great! Been running them on my track car for a while.

On par in the dry :)
Last night driving home in the rain was the most fun I've had in my mini so far. The front end just stuck to the road and the back just let go it was very predictable and with the power to pull out of any trouble I just tail dragged my way home taking the long route to get as many roundabouts as I could lol
