So a few weeks on the road and good old rover engine
It's very unclear where the gasket failed bit it looks like everywhere. The entire gasket surface is wet with coolent and both parts of the gasket has shed most of its paint how it ran I will never know

All back together and running let's see how long it lasts as I think one liner had dropped too far so I'll run it until it drops a bollock then source a new motor you never know it might last a year or 5 minutes

I've been reading this on and off for a while and can I say it's a true inspiration for my project I've just started, I've got a garage but not enough spare space for a mini... Yet 
so most will done on the drive under my ropey gazebo.
Fortunately fo ether project but not my wallet the engine is already in need of rebuild and I think the gear box will need some too. So it's coming out soon to operate. On in the garage,
