Loving the garage fit. You will still end up with paint somewhere behind the plastic though. Cant wait to see the end result.

Refitted the seam strips ready for painting and seam sealed at the gutter to aid water running down the strip not inside it. I had problems with one not wanting to stay on so I tiger sealed it on and got creative with some wood to hold it in place

Did the job so tiger sealed the rest on lets hope I don't need to take them off any time soon lol

Good idea with the wood Darren. If you ever needed them off it would be die to rust of damage anyway so wouldn't really matter! Besides, you only have to warm it up with a heat gun and it should soften it enough to remove!

So when is the paint going on?

I'm hoping to spot prime all the bits I had to do and the seam strips on Saturday then get the black top half laid down on Sunday but you know how things go with minis!! Never to plan after the black ill let it go off a few days then tape up midweek for bottom grey on Monday week

So as always things never go to plan after having a few small reactions in the drivers quarter and trying to fix them numerous times I decided to strip it back

Then reprinted it and blocked down again and then today got the top half painted

It looks better in the pics to be honest there's a few dry patches and lots if dust that needs flatting out but I'm pleased to have got this far on my own

Looks good Darren, all that dust will come out easy with a flat and polish.

Black is the hardest colour to paint so don't be too hard on yourself.
