Is the outside ready to paint mate?
Yes mate all prep work done just need to let the inside go off a couple of days so the tape don't pull it off also waiting on a new primer gun as my one is a 2.0 tip and just put to much out but it was ok for the inside though. It's not going to be perfect but good enough for me and everyday use

I used a 2.0 tip for my high build primer chap was fine if you turn down the air a bit and the paint a few bits just so the needle ain't getting drawn back as much so less paint can get through. Saves you some.cash

For it to be perfect you'd need to spend 2k+ on a professional paint job, and like me I suspect you don't have that kind of cash. I'm sure there will be parts of mine I'm not 100% happy with, I'll just have to live with them

That's my thought exactly I really don't have a budget for getting it painted by someone else so long as I get the paint on to a reasonable standard I can spend as long as I like doing correction work and polishing it back up

The paint looks great, can't wait to see the outside done,it's the stage I dream about. Working on the car from that point will be such a pleasure.

Just been through the entire thread (took days) and I have to say you're an inspiration. The panel repairs you've done are so similar to the ones I need to do and I can't tell you how valuable it is to have people like you document things so thoughly.

Cheers mate that is what these forums are all about sharing our experiences it's nice to know people still look at it seems going for the mg engine has put most people off lol. When I got this mini I thought it would only take a year and when that went by I just dreamed off painting it and getting it done but I'm almost there now so keep at it don't give up so many people do a little at a time is better than nothing

I also plan to do something similar to my garage to keep the dust down. I was thinking of getting one of those B&Q gazebo things and sheeting it up like yours inside the garage.
