Doubt that mate not happy with the gear change or the rad mounts I think I'll be bringing the gear change inside!!

So wasn't happy at all with the gear linkage and how low it sat so changed it today



Nice straight run to the uj



It sits on the normal rubber bushes and mount just upside down and round the other way. Also made the stabiliser bracket this will also mount in rubber bushes the same as the mini engine steady so easy to replace

So well over a month since I've even looked at the mini life is getting in the way. had 2 new staircases fitted moved the bathroom upstairs added another two rooms to my house and last of all had this arrive



So the mini has slipped to the back of the growing list but I'll get back to it and it's not going anywhere

I had my project mini on the go when my youngest was a baby, Top tip for you as you will lose so much sleep, fit a  nice comfy seat in it so you can say to SHMBO you're going to the garage to work on the mini and then have a nice sleep for an hour or two after you've done some work.

So it's been a while but back on it although I don't get much time it's still progress

Pulled the engine out today do it can be cleaned and I made a bulkhead box where all my fuel lines and brake lines can enter the engine bay just need to weld it in I'm also going to weld up all the small holes



And also the round nose front is gone in favour if this

looks good, how come you changed the front to a clubby? Did you have a van grille for the roundnose or was you planning on one? if you've got it I'd be interested in it if your selling.

Yes come on the slab fronts ha ha good lad same front as mine I think which means you can't fit the original grill, bummer really. But good lax on the change you kept that on the down low

Ha cheers mate I think I'm going to have a go at a standard grill I just love the flat front look

Little more done I've fully welded in the bulkhead box and all the other little holes I don't need then started on the body work filling sanding filling sanding over and over again also got the engine out and cleaned it up came up well











So far I've got the scuttle drivers a panel and rear quarter done just need this thing painted lol
