Just read the whole thing haha an hour well spent, I've just taken one of my minis off the road for a full restoration and a 1.4 k series engine. This build is gold, awesome work. :)

Cheers mate not sure how much you know about the build if you doing your own frame or not but give me a shout if there is anything I can help with

I've got a watsons kit ordered for the conversion, I believe that all the k series 16v engines are the same size? I'm just doing the 1.4 conversion because I have one laying around. I've just got scuttle repairs and the flip front left to do but I'm waiting for the Watsons frame to get here before that.

Yes mate the outside dimensions are the same but you're gearbox will be smaller than mine I may be wrong but you will need mgf gearbox mount and rover 400 bubble type engine mount plus the massive rear spacers and I take it you will be using metro gti wheels as you are very limited with the Watson kit

I don't know anyone apart from my mate Geoff that works so hard and quickly on mini's, a true inspiration to us, well done mate.

Well the big move happened today borrowed a trailer and took the mini to its new house but pissed off though as I forgot how low the mini was so when I winched it up, the Ramos took half the paint off the bottom so looks like I'll be painting again

I overcame the problem by keeping the Ramps level with trailer until the mini was on the last bit then got my weetabix strength on and lifted the car up while the wife moved the ramp supports out. Got to say I nearly shat myself straining so hard, loaded the car up with tools and garage crap

And home nice double length garage to fill up with cack

Not been doing any actual work on the car but plenty of this

Just had a catch up. I like the rear boot lid, looks like an air brake. Lol.

I always tell the wife:

"We can always live in the car, but we can never drive around in the house..."

works a treat
