That's it mate I've not seen another one like it and there isn't much in the mini scene that hasn't been done before so had to think outside the box a bit

No mate only semi smooth as I've no bumper lip too so I need somewhere to put the number plate might as well just use the standard place for it so just no hinges lock or light I'll be using led bolts for that

After a much needed few days away up north in Bradford I've now Got a couple of days off work so trying to get the car ready to fit the subby so that means all bodywork getting finished. Today I cut down and cleaned off one of my donor arches then and for those that have rear over the build made a lip for the rear of the arch to boot floor and fitted the arch

D90F7670-117F-4A6D-9EFA-B99272B70D1B_zps

Also needed a small patch on the arch

E675AAF7-A1B4-4EB2-A155-68E334754AB6_zps

Then fitted the closing plate at the front of the arch

C02B5CD5-26D0-4FE9-8C5C-1627B9749EE1_zps

And I was left with this

D3AE59E9-65D7-477E-A67D-2232AECA5EF2_zps

And after many trimmings and trial fitting I'm ready to drill holes and weld the quarter on

Not got a whole day tomorrow but I should have it fitted and the arch tubbed by the end of play tomorrow

Cheers Darren

Well one side is now done and fully rust free

Started off today getting the rear quarter fully welded in and cleaned off

30682D3E-B80D-45CF-8423-8DB7812DF5A0_zps

Still got a good door gap just needed a little work at the top adding some weld and smoothing off

7055FE57-C976-4698-82E1-E2442389F79D_zps

Corners looks a bit pants but non gen panels are crap a little filler work to be done

4D233958-12C4-4F89-8517-6DF1A5181902_zps

491B18E0-12C8-48E9-B996-4E70B4C19584_zps

Then chopped a chunk off for tubbing and bent a lip in the panel took 3 passes with the pliers to stop warping

09307FCF-6A92-4EA2-AB6B-E9C9033CDB45_zps

And then the actual tubbing

73F0F51B-8669-4169-8BAD-0963F5691C83_zps

Then a little luck of paint

A83971FC-BB6B-4579-BC1F-F1F4CBFA0B1D_zps

And just as a comparison the starting and finished side

SAM_1324.jpg

89EEAD80-5692-4721-90C5-14AB849A3E2E_zps

Just the same on the other side now!! But another big step in the right direction

Cheers Darren
