Still at it. Scuttle panel is in and so I had a look at the bonnet fit.
Not shown are the adjustments to the shift linkage we will complete this weekend and maybe the exhaust.
Wiring is a major head ache. i may just buy a loom from Rywire.
The steering rack is causing huge issues touching the engine so Im also looking into that.

Hello MEN!
Below is what Im into now. Hell, or what other call wiring.... I dont know why.
I have found out that my loom has already been messed around with so I am having some challenges. 1 step at a time.
I have these two diagrams to help me out. When I see the pin outs it says brown cable is injector 1. No problem. Do these cables change colours along the way? or is brown for example the same from the injector all the way to the ECU or OBD0.
Second. From the below pin out. What do I NOT NEED??? I wont have a AC unit in my car. Are there other things I dont require for the mini?
Thanks a head of time.

Id say I have found about 80 % of my cables. The others are still a mystery for now.

Hello 30,
I dont know how you are going about checking wires etc, it is certainly a minefield but bare with it, if I can do it then anyone can
What I did was rip all the black covering off the wires and then trace everything from the ECU right through to the main plugs onto the enginebay loom. The main thing you won't need are ABS plugs (orange plugs), the rest can be hidden. As for your Black1/2 wire coding, I have no idea.
A diagram like this may help http://futurehat.com...ingdiagram2.jpg
Stick with it, all will come clear at some point. Although I did mine from scratch it works alright however if I was to modify it I would need to learn it all over again because I've forgotten most of it by now
Hope this helps

Looking at how my wheels sit and Ive done something wrong but I cant put my finger on it.
It appears the tires are out too far. So much so that the steering rack is maxed out and both tires cant be straight without one off them being off and obviously cant move the car forward.
Thoughts?

From MINITEC I need to make extensions to the steering arms. "for whatever reasons?"
No problem. Make those this week and Ill get back. What confuses me is the 7mm ofsets that are recommended but the wheels already look for out there. I dont think I require offsets. Any one else done this before?

I have the same issue - I got some Force Racing wheels made with a -7 offset and they stick out miles - these wheels were bloody expensive, made in the UK and imported by me to South Africa. I have the Minitec rear beam too and when I mocked it up the tyres stick out more than they appear to on Minitec's site. Will have a look when I am home again.

I was able to get back to it with slow gains.
Fitting of one of the doors was a downer as it doesnt look great and so the madness continues.
The wires have been played with by the previous owner and so I have decided to buy the rywire tucked B series loom.
The POR 15 in some areas is failing. In others its super strong. I am confident I have followed the procedure to the T but I am going to finish the body work, get the entire car sand blasted and then have a shop epoxy primer the vehicle.
For all that to Happen I have to have the front A panels in place but they arent lining up well at all with the door and front fiberglass hood. Ill have to do some serious thinking about this.

Trying to emulate what another user has done in an effort to make the doors more stable. Just templates.
