Hi all,
Currently planning my respray which i'm doing myself. My garage is tiny! think it was literally built around a mini!
So had the idea of buying a gazebo with sides to do the respray in. Has anyone attempted this at all and is it a good idea? I cant afford a professional respray and already got all the kit to do it.

Cheers, Dave

I did mine in one (as per my post) not sure how to put a link to it though....sure most people have seen it!

Its doable and mine came out ok!

I was lucky to be able to put the gazebo in my old mans work shop to do it so this stopped any bad weather or wind getting to it but sure it would have worked out side being careful to make sure its completely sealed up!

yeah it can be done, obviously you wont have any ventilation or anything while doing it so maybe a good plan to get some kind of fan or extraction as one, it will fill up with fumes and you wont be able to see what you are doing, and two breathing in all the paint wont ever be good, so maybe an airfed mask?

I used the fan on a space heater to extract fumes and never had any issues (until I lacquered it as it seemed to hang in the air more). Everyone says use air fed masks which is probably the best thing to do but I didn’t have any issues with the 3M mask I used

I was going to cut a hole and stick a desk fan in it, only because I have a couple old ones knocking about. Then use a 3M mask and hold my breath

to be percfectly honest.. i sprayed my car with a 3m mask they just dont actually work for paint fumes they are more to stop dust etc from getting in! as for the laquer yeah its alot more sticky etc so it will cause more of a problem! aslong as you have some kind of extraction it should be fine!
