garret t3 was the one that came on the metro , but a few people having been using the t2 as it spools up abit quicker as is slightly smaller great for the 998 i have read but never experienced it for my self

I'll dig out my timing slips, but you can see in the video that turbophil posted, that I ran a 12.9 @115mph on road tyres from my mini turbo.

Without doubt you are right. What kind of Cobra would it be if it could not outrun any A Series powered Mini.

That 1600 mini was good for a low 13 second 1/4. It has been my experience that many guys brag about their 13 second cars but I am always so amazed that this is an estimate not a figure from a time slip.

note my times 13.26 at 112.4 are on 7 year old falkens and open diff ,so maybe slightly adresses the tyres question.

forgot to update this , my new time 13.13 @109.5mph. best possible is 13.08s @112.3mph .falken 165/60 12 tyres , open diff, 620 kg weight . 5 port a series . max boost 19 psi.
