This weekend is the Saltburn Italian job.

It is all day this Sunday from about 9:30 til 4:30ish.

There are classic cars, mainly mini's, following the italian job theme, Air shows from the Raf Hawks, Raf Tornados, Red Hawks, BBMF Spitfire and The Breitling Wing Walkers. There is also Street food from around the world, stunt drivers, street art, walkabout actors and many more at Saltburns Lower Promenade, Saltburn-By-The-Sea, Redcar and Cleveland.

I'm assuming there will be various trade stalls too with a show this size.

Anyone going? If you are intending to show your mini you will have to call the Saltburn Events Committee to check if places are still available, number can probably be found on their facebook, I do not have it on hand. Alternatively, you can e-mail: [email protected]. (According to a news site).

Thanks for the reminder. Just booked a place by emailing Glenn …really looking forward to it, sounds a bit different to the norm.

…oh and loved the comment on FB were a 'modern' (insert expletive here) mini was refused entry to the show

i'm going, with i think 3 minis, mine, and either two 1275gt's or 1 gt and a cooper s just tried booking them into show tonight, hope its not to late!

Anyone travelling through the tunnel and down the A19 to this? there's 4 of us travelling down together. would be nice to see a few more en route

I received my pass on Tuesday. I'm taking the Cooper Sport down on Sunday. I'm thinking about the early start on a Sunday morning!!

I'll be joining the A19 just after 8am from the A690. Should be easy to spot the union jack bootlid!

corbridge is cancelled as the showfield is flooded, so there is at least 4 minis going to saltburn instead, probably leaving 8ish from tyne tunnel

This weather is crazy! My almond green Mini suffered yesterday with all that rain! Yeah, makes sense that Corbridge is cancelled! Doh! I might see that green machine on A19 Rids.

As my Gaydon plans went out the window I was going to do Corbridge, now that's knackered. Looks I'll have a trip down to this instead, might take the '63. Plenty of attractions to see, and if the sun is out maybe some good pictures to be snapped.

I'll trundle passed the bottom of Norham at about 8, I'll be traveling down at about 55mph, as that's all I do in the '63. I emailed the organisers this morning but haven't had a response yet. If I don't get in I'll just go and have a day on the moors, as I don't like to leave my car in a public car park.

apparantly you have to be there before 9am to exibit, might have to move the 8am start forward! we are meeting at west chirton ind est between tecaz and tesco and will be doing similar speeds, will prob catch up somewhere after tunnel
