I have been running a Chinese rad for almost exactly a year and I have had "NO PROBLEMS" (fanfare and fireworks) it seemed very hot to the touch at first but it is just because it dissipates heat so well. In the summer at idle you can feel the heat blowing out of the nearside wheel arch. I have been very happy that I bought it. I travel everywhere at speed, I'm running a 12 blade plastic fan, and the temp gauge hasn't gone above normal in any circumstances. Three things to mention though 1: Mine didn't come with a bottom plug fitted and you may struggle to transfer yours. 2: The matrix is very soft and care is needed when fitting. 3: The welds are very unsightly, not poor quality as far as I can tell, just not nice.
Good luck

Yes the welds aren't "pretty", don't mater tho as there are still water tight. All the welds are, are a little high.
Worth the money, there cheap because production is cheap in the china, its the quality control and how much they budget to make them which makes them either bad or good. So far its seems they same as any other overpriced one here!

get a radtec one . much nicer last longer . looks better and always will
why? They're so much more expensive because there made in England, you just paying for the extra cost of manufacturing it here. You get the same thing with the Chinese ones, the only difference is its got neater welding, still good enough to hold water.

When it comes to Minis, nearly everything you get what you pay for.....
I have a Minispares 'supercool' 2 core rad, and to be honest it's no better than a normal rad, pretty poor quite frankly, and really I should have gone for a thermex rad that I can guarantee the quality and efficency of, you get what you pay for.
English made thermex / radtec rads are far superior in quality, I know which I'd rather trust over a cheap chinese alternative.

And they make rads for lots of cars not just mini's.
Case in point:
Got one on as well, even when revving 5-7k quite often on the track for a session, temps would not rise to what they used to. Works like a charm. I can't tell if I have the exact same one as in the ebay link, but since the cap had chinese writing on it, I assume it is.

Just because its Chinese and cost less does not mean its bad. Its simply the cost of labour and manufacturing is less. Being made in england means very expensive labour and manufacturing due to the cost of skilled labour here, thats all.
THE WELDING MAKES IT BAD!!!!
buy one and take it to a fabricators, tell them you made it and you want a job...then wait for them to laugh at you

i've bought loads of chinese stuff over the years, if you want to see decent chinese welding then look at danmoto stuff.
