Yes i got the message from the RX7 guy - after some chatI think he was gonan go it alone! But if he wants more help then give me a shout.

Interested to see how this car goes - i was told not to bother with a weber on my 1330 - i'd never go back to an SU now. Its been set up and sounds immense.
My uncles Puma engined mk1 escort runs twin 40's - the way it barks throught the webers was worth all the hard work!

I hope so im modifying the standard exhaust manifold to try and make it flow better ie gutting the CAT or removing it altogether

Sounds like you need a Frankspeed manifold (Frank is a guy on the Micra forum and if you ask nicely he might send a diy kit to mod your manifold for more flow or I think he might do them as well)

Franks a good bloke and helped me with my engine build .

A 4-2-1 manifold will give better results but will need to be modified to fit. Im sure rids did this to his?

Speak to Chris at trigger-wheels as he is the cheapest unless you want to import MJ from the US directly.

right update time lots of pictures too, work has been commencing on the mini shell the shock mounts and heel board has been made and the manifold components have arrived hopefully manifold will be finished by june 6th as this is when my project report Is due. where the injectors use to be pete is putting in vacuum take off so should make setting up the carbs bit easier. . just wrote a 5000 work report on it cant wait to get the shell back and build it up as a race car! still got cadge to do and the boot floor needs looking at as well as the flinch panel on the drivers side. anyway hers some pictures

main things im worrying about with the micra is the location of the gear stick, im not sure if it locates to the same place?

The Micra gear change system is similar to the Mini with the two rods, they just need shortening a bit. Haven't you looked at all the other Micra threads? most have photos of the gear-change and how they've modified them.

This is one lifted up inside the car, none of the others are like this one http://www.theminifo...a-engined-mini/

ah right, saw this and assumed it was yours lol.

keep up the great work anyway

I think every mini owner has felt like that, the best thing to do is to walk away from it for a month or two then go back to it. It's amazing what a break from it can do
