the engine is going to be sitting pretty high with those lower front to back legs being straight, (the inner cv joint might hit the upper suspension arm?)

heres mine when it was just tacked together

Posted Image

i also had to enlarge the passenger side driveshaft hole upwards to get the inner cv joint to fit

went to the footman james Bristol classic car show with metro on the weekend cracking weekend sadly the engine went bang on the way home suspected con rod failure not good got a 1275 mg lump to go in it so it will be fine on a good note whilst I was there I bought a very nice OBP pedal box for the micra mini :D cant wait to bolt all my new pieces to it!

well got some 1.5 degree bottom arms thanks black tulip! and new pins and bushs etc hope to build up the front subframe very soon just getting feed up with people constantly slating what im doing all the time some times i wish i never said anything rather than being interigated every move i make! >_< makes me more determined than ever to get this car done so many people believe I wont do it and webers are pointless, I appreciate all feed back and post I get on here just people who talk out of there ass! il let the engine do the talking on the rollers when its finished for now I got enough to worry about! the new pedal box means my seat has to be very far back in the car even being 5ft 10 dosent help! but I don't mind don't want me feet anywhere near the bulk head in the case of accident I like my ankles as they are! small step every week towards getting it running! I will complete this even if it kills me! ;D

i have a friend with a 1275gt who laughed all the way thru my build. said it was pointless putting a micra engine in.. ate his words once it was done and he was gobsmacked when he drove i.t
forget it's out of a micra and remember you are putting in a all alloy 16valve engine with a 5 speed box. keep going and don't give up. its worth it in the end. as for the webers, if you want them, fit them. the next one i do i'm tempted to put twin su's on, not for performance, for the looks. its your build, do it your way. dont let the doubters put you off

This is the important thing to remember when people ask me i say its a nissan 16v, i dont mention "micra".

Generally people dont realize that its a good engine but its pretty limited in the micra as Nissan wanted good economy. You only have to look at the standard exhaust manifold to see how restrictive it is, With good flowing manifolds you can hit 100bhp also a set of webbers will really bring out the power and they sound AWESOME!

I hope so im modifying the standard exhaust manifold to try and make it flow better ie gutting the CAT or removing it altogether

The same people would probably drool all over a KAD 16 valve head with webers and a 5 speed box underneath, ours is a lighter, more reliable engine with a 5 bearing crank and a stronger more reliable gearbox and it costs less, and is easier to get more power out of but somehow it's a bad idea?? Or is there something I'm missing?
