We all get times like that, you've just got to think of the satisfaction you will get once it is complete.

agreed just have to see not bothered any more about a finishing date i want it done right and not bolting second hand parts to it unless i really have too even if it was finished couldn't afford to insure it im 21 in july hopefully make it a bit less painfull. going back to college again tomorrow for the first time since i finish uni this time to do a body and paint course see how these next few months pan out in the mean time ive been very busy at work working on and restoring various cars including TR6's, frogeyes, spitfires, Mk1 golf, morgan and plenty of minis. even got a VTEC build on the side that i stay on and do in the evening as well as friends cars mainly pickuptruck1994's and my own MG Metro. will get some pics up soon.

small updatecar pictured above won 1st in class at the 24 hr race. the car can been seen at the next mighty minis race with Martyn Hathaway at the wheel shes now a rental car!. as for the micra project i bought a frame and 1 litre engine of here came with loom drive shafts clocks everything ..... only wanted the frame to see what could be done with it. its effectively scrap but its a good base. my new frame is being made out of tube thanks to TEB fabrication at a fraction of the cost as the allspeed frame. idea being the frame will be stronger and nicer than what allspeed can offer and compatible with normal mini bottom arms. photos will follow soon speedo clocks loom will be up for sale along with the 1 litre engine and possibly base frame if any one is interested.

well the other night i bought this for £60.
solid mounts HI lows one adjustable bottom arm (why?) always good to have a spare i suppose, a set a mk4 rear lights oh and a bonus 1 litre micra engine frame, loom , clocks, drive shafts etc etc so not bad. i bought the frame for tom to use as base. i have given him a straight standard frame and said to him make a new tube frame using either one. if he dosent use this micra frame it will be available if someone wants a base the engine is mounted too far forward really but its mounted and i suppose it could be made to work i am going to take the gearbox off the 1 litre to use as a spare/ close ratio box for my 1.3 the rest of the engine may be for sale as well. along with the speedo clocks and loom i have 1 litre and 1.3 litre throttle bodies as well for sale if anyone wants them. cant wait to hear her run on webers cant beat the noise. in discussions about building a tubular exhaust manifold for it as the micra one would be nice tucked away in the bottom of a scrap bin!

small up date its all painted apart form the number plate light and boot hinges DOH! never mind il paint them black at work throwing the car back together so it will be rolling the end of the month as im moving units. TEB has just picked up a pipe bender to make the frame and work is set tot begin in around 2 weeks. for the mean time i got shed loads of bits and pieces i bought for the car to find like rear subframe bolt kits, door spacers etc so i can put the car back together. i must admit the only real thing that is driving me forward is the fact i cant wait to get it down Slark race engineering on the rolling road see what she can do hoping for 120bhp plus

now rolling went to bolt in the new subframe and the captive nuts in the brand new heel board repair panels have broke off minis r us will be getting a very pissed off email cant believe it ran a tap through them trial fitted the frame and used genuine rear subby bolts that were new! anyone else had this? bar that issue i can now continue to work on the car when time and day light allows. i got the webers sat in my bedroom so gives me motivation when i get up in the morning lol. slight issue is i bought another project :)
most likely guessed into my metros as much/ more than what im in to minis this one needs bit of light restoration and she will be up for sale next year. This one defo wont be a engine and brake donor!

What panels were they? Magnum normally label panels that have metric fittings.
