so after a boring night in on ebay and minisport ended up on a 290 quid shopping spree! bought all the bits to complete the front end ie wheel bearings, ball joints etc also bite the bullet and decided to go for the lowered set up. Because i want this to be a road legal car too i cant run the car so low il catch it on every bump or pot hole saying that often cars designed for track are horrible on the road anyway! so bought a full set of GAZ lowered shocks and the mounts to go with them. Did want Konis ideally but these come up at such a good price cant turn them down considering i couldent get two konis for the price i paid for all four of these.

So shell is booked in for paint for sure end of the month doors are fitted got the front end kit from arc angles as money is very tight at the moment due to me losing my job so get that done need to buy a mega jolt ECU very soon as we are aiming to get the engine in and running by the end of march plans for the new subframe will commence next week or so got two holes to weld up in the rear parcel shelf and reshaping the bulkhead (Miglia style) and the shell is finished meaning the mk II subframe can be built. also been with the flap disc cleaning the floors up that sound deadening is horrible and weights a ton!

Been getting some Insurance quotes today all of them under £800 what is a lot better than i thought it would be i was hearing horror story's of thousands or not being able to be insured at all so thats promising especially considering im 20 and i have heard quotes of 40 year olds having to pay 1500 on Redtop mins! also now doing some work experience/ Training with Ian Slark fingers crossed get a job at the end of it hate being unemployed! otherwise back to retail work no doubt to pay to finish this project plus get my mk1 metro back on the road too! but never the less i am determined really want to do the London to Brighton run in a mini again after i got 100 meters last year and the diff blew up.

stupid 6x9 holes got to go
note the floor in the back ground no more sound deadening
measure twice
cut dirty great hole
Reinforce dirty great hole with box section to give the strength back from removing half the cross member
Reinforcement
Engine in place with Webers and manifold they dont protrude into the car as much as i thought they would get in
