Any way a point I would add about the location of venue though, if I may.
Yes Birmingham is certainly central, but just because it's in the middle of the country, doesn't necessarily mean that people from all four corners of the UK are suddenly going to want to attend. In reality the majority of show goers will only attend if they live within a couple of hours of the venue, so it doesn't really matter whether you choose the middle of the country or not, because generally still only people who live within 100 miles or so of it will attend anyway.
That is unless you base it somewhere desirable enough for people to want to stay over and make a weekend of it. Generally somewhere that has an additional attraction that makes the long journey worthwhile. No disrespect to brummies, but I wouldn't really fancy spending a weekend in Birmingham that much personally. But if it were somewhere more scenic, or maybe somewhere on the coast instead, then I'd certainly consider travelling much further to attend the show as part of a weekend away.
For example, despite the fact that it's over twice the distance away from me, I'd probably attend a show if it were in Blackpool as opposed to Birmingham, because a Blackpool venue would also mean a night out on the town, an overnighter in a hotel, Ice creams, amusement arcades and day at the pleasure beach too!!

... and at the end of the day if you want as many LE's as possible to attend, then surely you want to appeal to as many people as possible and not just those who happen to live relatively close to it??

Just a thought!!

Then why not sort something for santa pod which as the venue entertainment and also camping
Because Mitp is already held at Santa Pod each year and as so many people attend Mitp, I'm not sure if that many people would want to go to a second mini show there in a year.

Sorry I misread title at first, and assumed that "Le Gathering" meant it was some sort of posh French mini event!!

the nightlife in blackpool is ok if you want to stink of weed and get involved in a punch up (which i dont) it was ok there up until 10 years ago but i certainly wouldn't entertain it now, anyway mini's belong in the midlands....................

Suppose the photos could be unmodified only or incorporate both original and modified somehow??
there's not much point in including modified LE's, unless you can actually see that they are a limited edition, what i mean is....is that if you have a mini advantage and have painted it bright pink with a black roof and totally changed the interior/wheels etc then no-one would know if it was originally a mini advantage or a mini city....do you see what i mean?
Yeah I know what your saying, makes sense I suppose
Mine is original apart from wheels, side stripes, roof and bonnet stripes haha
Not a Ritz from outside
Inside is totally standard :) interior pics can be taken

could ask the organisers to have a seperate part for the L E's

I thought the idea was to get all the le's together at a show doesnt have to be a seperate show or am i missing something

Like I said it was just an example to demonstrate the point, I haven't been to Blackpool in the last 20 years, so I really have no idea what it's like threre anymore. I'm sure that there are a whole host of other suitable venues with attractions that would be a more attractive alternative though...... and Mini's may well belong in the Midlands, but I don't!!..... and whilst I own one, I don't intend on driving it there I'm afraid!!

Good point!!
Might just be easier to set up an "LE club", or an "LE register" and then enter an LE club stand at the various existing big shows!!
