Yeah i have to look in to location but i had central in mind around the birmingham area! We could have all minis there but a seperate area for the LEs oh and im looking for mostly originals for the main photo but others could attend! Thank you for all the good feedback!

How about like IMM, the location changes every year so different people and there cars can make it?

good idea, it would make a good feature for the magazine too, its ironic that the first 3 limited edition mini's (the 20-(special),25 and the ritz) were all silver!!..........


although the 20 & 25 were birthday editions and the ritz was the first of the london themed mini's.......

Hi all i would be very interested in this, maybe put a facebook page up there is loads of LE's on there i have a blue sidewalk so would love to come, let me no when a location would be sorted as i would happy to come let me no if u need any help sorting anything out, PM if needed :)

How about contacting Gaydon, or other brum brum themed venue? They might give you some space for free, or at least a concession.

Suppose the photos could be unmodified only or incorporate both original and modified somehow??

there's not much point in including modified LE's, unless you can actually see that they are a limited edition, what i mean is....is that if you have a mini advantage and have painted it bright pink with a black roof and totally changed the interior/wheels etc then no-one would know if it was originally a mini advantage or a mini city....do you see what i mean?

Yes, I agree. I don’t feel that they need to be completely standard, but they do need to be recognisable as whichever limited edition that they are.

well the interest is definetely there, as someone suggested earlier gaydon would be a good venue but what about cofton park opposite longbridge (where pride of longbridge is staged?) the connection with the BL/rover group is there with either venue and if it could be done at longbridge then it would be like "the mini's are going back to where they were born".....

basically if we can start a list of people who are interested and put down their name and the mini limited edition that they own/drive then that way we will know which limited editions we have.

have you put the idea forward to any of the mini magazines 85ritz or are you waiting to see what sort of response you were going to get first?, i think that its a great idea and i cant see why either of the magazines wouldn't want to feature it.
