Hey,
Might be asking a bit much here, but I'm looking to put some speakers in the front of the mini. Don't really want those speaker pods that go in the corners under the dash, don't want to replace the dash vents with them (or put them anywhere else on the dash) and don't want a centre console to put them in. Any ideas? I appreciate I'm being quite fussy but any help/ideas would be great.
Cheers,
Dan

I've listened to that mini with the speakers firing down from the roof. It really does not work.
Avoid that as an install option IMO.

Speakers should not ideally be put in any of these places LOL

Doors, Dash, Kick Panels.
Basic rule of thumb: Any full range speaker you cant see the cone or grill/cover will sound wrong.

Hey guys,
Thanks for the ideas. I wouldn't even concider the overhead option to be honest! So I'm kinda limited to door pocket ones (although they're about 50 squids and I'm a student!!) Or the ones that mount under the dash...
Cheers again.

Check the local Scrapyard for for doorpockets from other vehicles that may work. Possibly a Golf ,Jetta, Accord etc. It could save you some cash. Or make your own.
Here's a how to on another car, but gives you an idea of where to start.
