The water temperature gauge has the capillary tube with the threaded probe that goes into the block where the original electrical temperature gauge went, that's easy enough

Then the oil pressure gauge, you may as well just buy a fitting kit like this, and be done with it, that way you retain the oil pressure warning light.

If you don't mind spending a bit more money, and don't trust a nylon tube with oil pressure near your dashboard... this is also available

try these guys, I have used them and found a helpful friendly service - http://www.speedycables.com/index.html

Your need one of these for the oil gauge, http://www.speedycab...om/tpieces.html - remove the existing pressure warning switch screw in the t-piece and refit the switch into the t-piece plus the gauge pipe +PTFE tape on the threads for a good seal - bingo

any problem give these guys a call

Also they have a page that shows how to calibrate speedo's if you change the wheel and tyre sizes

with the water capillary tube you need the brass thread adaptor or you can screw it too far and knacker the sensor

If you're going for the braided hose, don't buy the other kit I posted, just get the t adapter :)

Except on some of the injected engines, the expansion bulb for the temperature gauge screws into the cylinder head just below and in front of the thermostat housing. As stated above, on some heads the casting is too shallow for the expansion bulb to fit without interference. For that you need the spacer/adapter, Mini Spares part number TE5. Mini Spares also sell a nice braided oil pressure hose for the gauge, their part number C-AHT9. Finally, they can also provide you with the T-fitting for the oil pressure so you can retain the warning light, their part TP. That said, if you decide to order all the parts from Mini Spares I would call them up and ask if you need any additional fittings to connect the T piece to the braided oil hose.
