But as always they will probably have to sweep a few roads for a week or two...
No chance of sorting the shell then?
Presume it is totally distorted from the heat...
Very very annoyed for you mate...

It just annoys me how one persons pride and joy is their joke for a few hours. How devastate would they be if someone did this to them?
don't see how the police can't treat this as serious. The police will let them off lightly then wonder why they've gone and done it again? Police are almost as stupid and the tw@ts that did it.

i hope you had agreed valuation insurance.
its a shame and perfect example of why people should have a good insurance company with agreed value.....for when some jealous idiot does something like this.
as jordie said, hope you're insurance is in order. there are more things to get stressed over than a tin box on wheels, still gutted for you though

The lenient punishments are dished out by the courts. What may seem like common sense to us has no bearing in a court of law.
Don't get me wrong, they should be dealt with severely, be it a MK 1 Mini that's arguably irreplaceable or a run of the mill Corsa - it's still theft and arson and still illegal. The sad truth is send them to prison and they learn how to do more and do it better. Give them a fine and it's usually insignificant. The justice system really is little justice these days.

Best thing to do to take you mind off it is start planning for the future! I presume you had an agreed valuation. Start confering with the insurance company and see about getting a heritage shell. They probably wont go for it but its worth asking?

Clearly **** heads who wanted to go joy riding!
Black.Ghost is right though, the police have no control over the sentences that are dished out, and ridiculous things like the human rights act make the criminal justice system a joke.
Anyway, back to the point, I hope you get a fair amount from your insurance company, the heritage shell idea isn't a bad one!
