Senseless. No reasoning behind it whatsoever.

If someone steals it to sell, there is a reason behind it (I'm not saying its ok) but just to set it alight is just mindless. A sad state of affairs in this country.

I really hope it's not too bad and can be salvaged.

I am so angry for you!

This country is ****.

Yeah man too right, they just get a slap on the wrists if caught, they need catching buy us and kicking their heads in, then set their legs on fire and casually walk away

Serioulsy bad news, there are some total scumbags around and they get away with it over and over again. I think they go around their house and empty it completely and sell off the stuff. If it doesn't make enough money to cover the damage then they go to prison and work for a quid an hour until they pay off the rest. We will never get corporal/ capital punishment back but I defy anyone to say how my idea would be unfair.

When Mark on here had his mini stolen (and then his Fiat he bought to replace it!) the police weren't overly helpful to say the least so make sure you push them to get something done. IMHO any MK1 is a part of our national heritage.

Oh my God, that is crazy. Mindless bastids! Why anyone can even think about doing something like this just for kicks is beyond me. I've had my car vandalised a few times and I know how horrible and annoying it can be, but nothing as bad as what happened to you.

Losing your classic Mini is like losing an inanimate loved one so my thoughts are with you.

Surprised they posted a card through the door though. Surely they would've knocked and they could've taken you to where it was found. All seems a bit odd to me.

Very sorry to hear this. Sadly as the mindless scum who do this kind of thing can no longer easily steal any modern cars they turn to older cars like the Mini as an easy target and this is one of the reasons mine is now locked away in a secure garage and is no longer a daily driver.......... :(

Genuinely sat here with 'the chills'.

I don't even understand why they'd do it... Hope everything turns out ok (or as okay as it can be) and they're caught
