Hi,

My previous topic seems to be deleted so here she is again. She is a bit different now (some more accessories) so I have to make new pics soon.

Future plans :

Beautiful car and fantastic photography. Snap-off with airbag might cause you some trouble.

Looks lovely. I wouldn't change to standard rear lights though, the jewel lenses look good at your car. Your car though, so your choice. I'd vote for 10's, simply because they look awesome :)

Thanks for the kind replies !

Bit tired of the jewel lenses (bought her that way), I like the more original look. Gonna place an order on Minisport soon but still doubting. The mini has a reverse light but is it possible to use these on my MPI ? Will the reverse light still be visible enough ?

because I like them better than those (with the clear lens for reverse light) :

Planning to use this set of LED's on eBay as well for better visibility : http://www.ebay.co.u...#ht_2019wt_1189

I dropped the idea of putting Mexico arches on her because Digler told me I had to drill new holes and fill the old ones of the sportspack which would include some new painting as well and that's not in my budget for now. I'm probably going for the 10's.

cheers

Small remark :

The LED's in the previous link will need a LED flasher unit otherwise the indicators will blink too fast. I was wondering if I had to change the flasher unit as well if I use LED's from this german website : e.g. http://www.hypercolo...ampe-Ba15s.html They are expensive but I ordered their in the past and it's not crap like some other chinese cheap LED's. They are 11-16 Volt

Not sure about the measurements / thickness if they will fit.

In those rear lights you want, there is no reverse light. They are MK 2 units. IMO they look much better but it's a personal thing. A reverse light is not a legal requirement (not tested on MOT).

The car looks pretty good tho.

Ok today red card at MOT.

Emission too high : 0,8 instead of 0,3
Optional original beamlights were connected wrong (?) : the middle ones should shine but it's the outer two's that shine with my mini. Fog and beam are switched??
brake left rear is broken (maybe brakepump, can i order a complete set ?)

Ok went back to the MOT in original mode and now I have a green card :).
I was suprised how good the original exhaust looks and it also has a nice sound at 2000 RPM, I was a bit tired of the very loud sportex exhaust so I'm gonna leave it on until i get a stage 3 kit or so. I must admit that the car runs much smoother with the original exhaust and shakes less.

Next plans :

7.5 inch brake kit
mounting hi lo
mounting skidplate

I took a risk and it looks beautiful :D ! Had to use some brutal force to get the original white plastic ones of but I'm glad with the result. Glued them for extra safety and water resistance. Now I have retro indicators with the plug system of the mpi !
