Sussex Police Road Policing Department are investigating the Road Traffic Collision which tragically claimed the lives of eight people on the A23 at Pyecombe just north of Brighton at about 4.30 p.m. on Sunday 16th May 2004.
We are aware that the London to Brighton Mini Rally was taking place on this day and uses this road. We are keen to speak with any person who may have information regarding this collision.
Please contact the Operation Devonshire Incident Room on 0845 60 70 999 or alternatively contact Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555 111 quoting Sussex Police Operation Devonshire.
We are especially keen to speak with any person who has video footage of any section of the A23 during the day in question.
An effort is being made to spread this message widely using both media and internet resources. We would ask that you assist us in this matter. If you are a member of any other forums please post this request on our behalf.

BMW travelling south lost control and crashed through the central reservation and hit about 6 cars - some of the cars were completely shredded - horrible, no minis involved, would probably have been worse if there had been
