there are several places in leicester, hinckley and top end of Coventry..... thing to bear in mind is that your bodywork must be in near pristine condition for wrapping..... the amount of prep involved in getting an older car ready to wrap usually means its more cost effective to paint it.

paint will also last a whole lot longer, and you can at least polish minor blemishes out of paint.....with vinyl any damage has to be re-wrapped.

even though I do wrapping and graphics....on minis I would always recommend paint for a full body colour change.

personally, i dont like the idea of a respray, i can just see water getting under it and making major rust probems,

also, when you pay for a paint job, you get what you pay for. you can get some real good jobs done!

theres a company called Brandz who do wraps in a very wide variety of colours and if i remember correctly theyre in birmingham so its not too far if you dont mind travelling a bit lol

https://www.facebook.com/Brandzuk

but to be honest, the amount you spend on a wrap, you could get it painted, id only recommend a wrap if you wanted a temporary colour change or a matte colour

Id get it painted as you would never wrap a mini roof with a nice finish it would just be stuck under the gutter and you would see it as well as inside the door shuts, wings and boot it would look gash close up and you would hate it,

Not following this one, sorry... :tumble: Water getting under a respray?

I'd get it painted. Vinyl wraps are ok on new cars as they are dent & rust free but on older cars it will probably look terrible without spending a decent chunk of money getting the car prepped before hand. If you;ve done that you may aswell just pay to get it painted the colour you want it.

Wraps will only last a few years too, and can't be polished. And they aren;t as shiney as paint either, I had a gloss black roof wrapped professionally on a BMW I had and although it looked good it didn't have the shine paint would've had.

Completely dependant on the car and who you get it done by. I'd estimate just over £1000 for a half decent job.

Might be £700 to wrap it, but you need something that's pretty much perfect to wrap in the first place.

Sorry but im going to ask a silly question.....

When getting it wrapped does it need to be sanded down or anything? Or does it just go strait over the top?

Like said above bodywork has to be near perfect for wrap as it will show every little imperfection , just imagine wallpapering a wall without sanding prepping etc shows every defect, not really for old cars, go for paint
