OOH another one, the front panels on the mk2's have cut outs so the brakes can get air to them 8)

So do later Mk1s, I think they came into production around 1965.

Spot the differances

Appart from the obvious external changes, the interiors on the Mk2 are plain black, indicator switch is different, speedo is different (130mph instead of 120 or 125), binnicle mounting is different.
I recommend you get a copy of this book, it's what most people use to restore their Coopers to factory spec.

Personally I'd take the MK2 Cooper. It's a bit more original because of the original engine and gearbox etc and I just really like mk2 Coopers and "S"s, and I really like the colour
