a guy i have done some welding for in the past bought that supercharged metro on ebay, i think he paid about £750 for it. he then removed the engine to put it in one of his minis, and was then offering me the metro with a standard 998 in it for about £400. the car wasnt actually that bad, that guy just made it look like a turd. one of teh local chavs has got it now and i have heard rumours he is putting a vvc in it.
my mk1, i have since shortened the trumpets, so it smuch lower now, and fitted gaz shocks on the front and a janspeed exhaust, just looking for a 1380 short motor for it now....

Mk1 metro styling is the best out the lot, although they have to be 3 door, 5 doors look too fussy in my opinion!
The red mk1 above looks sweet as, another "sleeper" in progress.. Love it!

i agree that the 3 doors look better, but dont forget all the mk1s were 3 doors, it was only when they made the mk2 you could have an extra couple of doors nailed on the sides!

Ive seen a couple of early mk2s that have mk1 styling, i suppose they were just using up old stock ready for the facelift mk2s?
