Hi everyone.

I am selling a Tamiya M-03 Mini Cooper. I built the car up for racing at my local RC club, but it closed down and as such, the car has never turned a wheel under it's own steam and is immaculate - completely as new ... except ready built.

There are a couple of upgrades fitted to the car:
It has lowered dampers with tuned springs (can supply stock ones for higher ride if required)
Tamiya S-Grip tyres, which are very grippy - much more so than the stock ones.

The motor was also broken in correctly outside of the car so should run really nicely.

The car comes with radio gear, speed controller and a battery pack. All you will need is a charger for the battery and some AAs for the transmitter. It will also come with the original box and manual.

I am looking for £80 for this because it is as new and cost me a lot all together.

(Sorry for the rubbish photo - I will get a better one if the rain ever stops and we get some light)

Hi, could you send me a few more photos including the chassis and motor? Do these have brush less motors?

Thanks, Ollie.

Sure thing.

I will take some more photos tomorrow in daylight. It is not a brushless motor, just a standard 540 motor that comes with the kit. Still pretty quick - It's a god balance of performance taking in to consideration the fact it is front wheel drive.

I also have one, but not for sale. These only have nylon gearing/gears, so if you do chose to run a brush less motor you might end up melting them. But they are more than quick enough with a brushed motor if you can keep the wheel spin under control.

Ahh ok, I was thinking of possibly upgrading it over time If I do buy it.

You still can upgrade them, just its a lot cheaper. With a good set of ball races (around £8 a set off ebay) a hot brushed motor and suitable electronic speed controller, it would be more than quick enough as the handling is pretty good in standard trim anyways.
They are also good at performing forward or reverse j turns if you flick from either direction at any decent speed.

Okay... photos:

Hope they are okay. As you can see - it has never been driven.

The transmitter and receiver were used in a car previously - as was the battery. But the M-03 and speed controller are brand new.

Modelsport do them. They only seem to do the M-05 chassis now though... which is better on paper, but has mixed reviews. Other than that, people on eBay have M-03s new.

You'll need to buy radio gear and battery on top of the kit to run it.

i have all the radio stuff from a disused nitro car which i need to get rid of.

i just fancy something to mess with, especially as the summer will probably be much the same as this past few days weather.
