Something is happening in the vinegar!!



I will take a wee peek after a week or so and se if its removing the rust or dissolving the hubs!! lol.

Meanwhile I bought a set of non vented 4 pot callipers a while back and have been meaning to get them cleaned up, will bung them onto Haggis soon.

And these metro ball joints arrived for the hubs.



So tonight im going to have a go at fitting the A panel on Tatties.

Just back from the cave. A bit more progress,









Lots of fettling with the door and A panel. It did eventually go on not to bad and the gaps a re ok!!

And I painted the callipers.

Don't know yet. I didn't look!! Just vinegar in the bucket. I'm a vinegar virgin so don't know what to expect really.

Started cutting the rear arch today, never tubbed arches before so this could all end horribly..

Rear arch tubbed. boot floor cut out and a new side section welded in, and I started on the drivers side floor the other night, much noise and flying sparks later and it was gone!! sooooo much rot cut away that im having to make some new sections for the tunnel and bulkhead before I can weld in the new floor pan.

I have not updated this for ages due to being a lazy sod, Things have moved on dramatically from my original plans. I have tried to upload pictures to the thread and they don't seem to appear. Anyone know what's going on? All my other pictures are still in the thread and I'm following the same procedure. Help!!

This project has not completely died.... It has simply changed a bit. well a lot really, it is now a Red top conversion project that has been on going for the past few years, the shell is now complete and had been modified to accept an allspeed front sub frame, I have spent a fortune on all new rose jointed front suspension stuff and Protech double adjustable coil overs, the brakes have now been upgraded to Kad 4pot callipers and vented disks, The red top engine has been bored out and rebuilt with an ATB Diff from Quaife. The rear now has a beam set up with Kad lightweight radius arms. once again using Protech coil overs. Inside the car has been modified to allow the seats to be fitted way back in the shell, I have also modified the steering column to bring the wheel far enough back. Throttle bodies and engine management by SBD motorsports. 200bhp output down to Force racing 3 piece split rims.

Allspeed subframe fitted. Really sorry I have not been posting on your forum for many years. But I can’t seem to upload any photos. Even a 166kb jpeg won’t upload. I just get a message that only files less than 2mb can be uploaded. Most confusing.
