Ok so today was a bit lazy for me..but I did get to the cave for a couple of hours this afternoon and did this...
Heavy duty bottom arms and tie bars...used the proper offset bushes on the bottom arms...
Hubs, Vented disks, mini steering arms, four pots and Mintex pads fitted..
As you can see I have left the covers on the back of the new CV joints for now..and all the bolts are just nipped up..this wont be going any where neer the car for a couple of months so as well to keep everything as clean as possible..
Still waiting for the top arms..they are having the old bushes removed..must be a bit more difficult than expected.. but the new pins and plates are on just to clear the threads..
Drive shafts were cleaned and painted about a year ago!! but Its getting closser to fitting time..I pressed the balls back into the pot joint cages for now!!
And finally I ran the tower bolts through to clean the threads..
So thats about it for today...more tomorrow I hope..

Well As Hoody mentioned, Tatties has been taking a back seat due to Hagis needing some attention, but thats all sorted now and I can concentrate on the clubman for a while, We started a new club up here in Inverness a while back and it has really taken off. IMOG. Check us out on Facebook!!
https://www.facebook...miniownersgroup Please like the page and if you are close enough why not come to one of our events. We will be in Miniworld next month. woo hoo!!
Anyway back to the clubman. The front subframe has been put to one side and I started on the front end.
Today after removing the old ball joints I decided to try a bit of Chemistry on these metro hubs,
They are quite rusty as you can see, the last ones I cleaned took me 2 days each and god knows how many wire wheels. so this time I went to Liddle and bought a huge amount of malt vinegar, at 23p a bottle what could go wrong? So in the hubs go for a week or so and we will see what happens!! I did copy this Idea from someone on here who had great results, so if it works then all the credit will go to them.
Although my roll cage has been here for a few weeks I didn't take any pictures, so here's one for the Hoodmiester!!
Full cage with door bars, harness bar and mighty mini's dash rail. not very exciting to look at when its all in bits!!
Got my welding mask back last night so you can expect a lot of progress over the next few months..

Progress, not much to look at, but this took me all evening to sort out, headlamp panel on Tatties, an absolute Beech of a job!!
A bit more progress..
The front of the wing is quite a good fit, but the back is awfull as it meets the scuttle panel. the A panel lines up ok with no gaps, so it must be the new scuttle corner I put on.. Oh well im sure it will be fine..
